Stay Connected Via Your Class 2000 Web site
You can stay connected with your classmates via your Class of 2000 website hosted on the alumni server at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon. Share the good news of your new job, your marriage or the latest addition to your family. You can upload photos, add Class Notes, and join in online discussions with your classmates. The site includes a complete directory of the Class of 2000 with the latest contact information as well as a photo album of your days at the Tepper School of Business. You will also be invited back to campus for special Class Reunions every five years beginning in 2012.
Online Alumni Directory – Networking
You can network with more than 15,000 alumni from the Tepper School of Business using our confidential Online Alumni Directory. The highly searchable database of all alumni from the business school is password-protected and maintained by our own IT staff. It is available 24/7 from any Internet accessible device and is a rich networking resource for the alumni community. Information is updated in real time.
You may also utilize the Carnegie Mellon Alumni Association Online Directory. All Carnegie Mellon alumni are included in it except those who are deceased or have requested the university not release their information.
After you leave the Tepper School of Business, we’d like you to stay connected with your fellow graduates! We designed the e-mail forwarding service to make staying in touch with classmates, friends and other contacts much more convenient. In addition, it will make it easier to ensure you get e-mails we send to alumni, even as you go from job to job and change your e-mail address.
Alumni can set up e-mail forwarding using our Alumni Update Service, which is integrated with e-mail forwarding. Our E-mail Forwarding Service allows you to designate a customized “alias” for yourself. This alias represents a lifetime e-mail address.
Our default user name for you will be
firstname_lastname@alumni.tepper.cmu.edu unless you designate an alternative. This lifetime e-mail address will automatically forward to you the e-mail address we have on record in the Online Alumni Directory. If you do not keep us up to date with an accurate e-mail in the Alumni Directory, your e-mail forwarding will no longer work.

Alumni have the opportunity to leverage the Tepper School ’s award-winning
research with the online resource center. In keeping with the school’s
commitment to the real-time transfer of knowledge, the Lifelong Learning Web
site was developed in response to alumni interests in strengthening industry
leadership and career development. The Web site includes faculty
research, recommended readings, and podcasts and videos showcasing alumni and
faculty interviews workshops and presentations.

Alumni Chapters around the World
The Tepper School of Business has alumni chapters in leading cities around the
U.S. and abroad to provide lifelong social, networking and professional
development opportunities for current and future Tepper School of Business
alumni. The chapters accomplish this mission by building strong relationships
between alumni and the business school community of students, faculty and staff
by promoting a strong business school identity through a variety of
alumni-sponsored activities. We offer online registration for all alumni
events. Chapter websites list alumni events, alumni news notes, a directory of
all alumni in the region and other valuable networking tools.

Volunteer Opportunities for Alumni
Alumni volunteers are a vital part of our life at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon. You can continue to strengthen your alma mater by volunteering to serve the school in a variety of capacities. Some important areas are:
- Alumni Mentors - The Career Opportunities Center (COC) runs a mentor program each year matching new graduate business students with alumni. The intent of the program is to connect students with more seasoned professionals who can serve as a sounding board on career choices. Much of the interaction, due to the location of alumni, is via the Internet; however the COC encourages students to speak with their mentors by phone and visit mentors in their city or place of employment.
- The Career Opportunities Center always needs alumni to assist current students with mock interviews and reviewing resumes.
- Management Game Board of Directors – More than 200 alumni volunteer each year to serve on the Board of Directors for Management Game teams. They serve as an integral part and a critical facet of the simulation environment and hold three meetings with the Game Teams.
- Help students and alumni with career workshops; serving as speakers on alumni panels; and giving guest lectures to classes and student clubs.
- Host student visits to your company and take the lead in arranging for your company to recruit for summer interns and new hires on campus. Over 75 percent of our recruiters are alumni, and they are the single greatest reason for our placement success at the Tepper School of Business.
- Help us recruit the top students. Volunteer with the Admissions Office to assist at MBA recruiting fair in your region.
- Alumni Regional Chapter Leadership Teams – Help us organize professional and social events in your region to strengthen our alumni community.
- Join your class Reunion Planning or Reunion Giving Committee or become your class correspondent.

Annual Fund – Class of 2000
The Tepper School appreciates all of the members of the class of
2000
who supported their class gift campaign. The participation of each and
every student in this effort is truly important. Strong class gift
participation demonstrates that those closest to our academic
programs believe in our vision for the school and the education they
received. This is a very compelling message to both perspective students who
are considering the program and members of the Tepper community who
