Pittsburgh Alumni Entrepreneur Presentation - 'What does $100K, Tepper, and you have in common?'

Join us for a Pittsburgh Alumni Entrepreneur Presentation titled, "What does $100K, Tepper, and you have in common?" The event will take place on Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Revv Oakland. The event, which will include a networking session, will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. followed by brief introductions to alumni entrepreneurs from ComVibe, Qualaris Healthcare Solutions, and NoWait.  The alumni company introductions will be followed by the guest speakers, Dave Mawhinney (MSIA ‘90), Executive Director of the Donald H. Jones Center for Entrepreneurship (DJC) at Tepper,  Managing Director, Open Field Entrepreneurs Fund, and Co-Director of the CMU Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Dr. Lenore Blum, Co-Director for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Founding Director, Project Olympus.

Prior to becoming the Executive Director of the DJC, Dave Mawhinney has made a career of turning great ideas into successful internet companies. Since the 1990s, Dave has co-founded four successful startup ventures which include mSpoke (acquired by LinkedIn), Premier Health Exchange (acquired by Medibuy), Hawk Medical (acquired by McKesson), and Industry.Net (merged with AT&T Business Network to form Nets, Inc.). Dave holds an MBA with Distinction from Carnegie Mellon University and a B. S. in Physics, Summa Cum Laude, from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Also presenting will be alumni who founded their companies while at Tepper. The presenters will include:
