Dr. Meltzer is a Visiting Scholar at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research. He was introduced at this event by his friend and colleague, Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan.
Attendees were treated to Chairman Greenspan's dramatic, flash-popping entrance, and to the humor and cordiality that both men expressed. They got to meet GSIA's new Dean, Kenneth Dunn, along with several members of the Development Office who were in attendance. |

Hands On DC
Location:
Sponsored by the Tepper School of Business Washington D.C. Alumni Chapter | A dozen GSIA alumni and friends participated in the Hands On DC community service event on Saturday, April 13, 2002. We carpooled from RFK to Roosevelt Senior High School in NW Washington, and painted for most of the day. We won't soon forget the Home Ec class's homemade pizza or those oil-based shades of Traffic Orange and School Blue. But boy did our doorways look better as a result! |

Ted Fenton Presentation
Location:
Sponsored by the Tepper School of Business Washington D.C. Alumni Chapter
Speaker: Ted Fenton| In 1999, Carnegie Mellon Professor Emeritus Ted Fenton co-opted 10 students in a class project to research the University's history. The result was A Centennial History of Carnegie Mellon, 1900-2000. The book and its author present a very engaging and amusing look at the University and its relatively short yet storied history. Many Carnegie Mellon alumni enjoyed meeting him and each other at this reception on February 7, 2002. |
