Tepper School alumni in Pittsburgh are invited to join Assistant Professor Carey Morewedge for a breakfast presentation at the Rivers Club. Dr. Morewedge is Assistant Professor of Marketing, BPJunior Faculty Chair at the Tepper School of Business.

How Biased Memory Makes Consumers Nostalgic for the Past

People believe everything from the general state of their country to the quality of their television programming has declined from its past zenith.  In this talk Dr. Morewedge will describe a series of experiments that show how memory bias leads consumers to exhibit these nostalgic preferences—believing that past categories of experience (e.g., movies and television shows) were better than their present counterparts.

The morning's schedule is as follows:

7:30 a.m. - Breakfast begins
7:55 a.m. - Introduction of and presentation by Dr. Morewedge
8:25 a.m. - Q&A
8:50 a.m. - Event concludes

RSVP online at Breakfast will be provided. Attire is business casual.
